“My Precious of Time”
Perceptions of what is precious vary widely, deeply rooted in personal values and experiences. While some prioritize material possessions like luxury clothing and jewelry, I consider time the ultimate luxury. It’s the foundation of my life, carefully allocated to shape my experiences and achieve my goals. Each of my works reflects the dedicated time invested in conceptualization, design, and craftsmanship.
In my piece, "My Pleasure of Time," I use hand-weaving techniques to create a textile soft sculpture from discarded plastic bags, giving the sculptures a shimmering translucence akin to crystal thread. The choice of a teddy bear form aligns with the theme of value, symbolizing the first cherished gift many receive, evoking nostalgia and emotional significance. This approach highlights themes of sustainability and transformation, emphasizing the value of repurposing materials and the precious time devoted to my craft.
